What our customers say

  • star rating  GREAT GUIDED WALKS  - Very well-organized walking trip in the Flinders Ranges with great knowledgeable and hard-working guides. Some of the walks were potentially challenging given my age (76) but the guides worked hard at making sure we all had a good experience and encouraged us all to achieve our goals.

  • star rating  An amazing adventure thanks to a highly organised and friendly team of guides! - This is such a beautiful place to explore and the accomodation at the Cape Otway Lighthouse was special and relaxing. I highly recommend and thank our guides, Graham, Lorinda & Liz, for making it a fantastic experience. They were down to earth and friendly which made us feel comfortable straight away. They went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met, were very knowledgeable about the area and made sure we reached our final destination despite a few obstacles created by the weather. All our meals and snacks were beautiful and there was plenty to go around. Our guides kept us safe on the tracks with tips on using poles, keeping a pace suitable for everyone and helping us over fallen branches. Nothing was too much trouble - even attending to the odd blisters!

  • star rating  Cradle Mountain - spectacularly beautiful  - A very good walk. Spectacularly beautiful scenery. We were lucky with the weather - it statistically rains 2 days out of 3, but we only had one day of heavy rain out of the 4 day walk and we still walked on that day. Guides were caring and reasonably knowledgeable. Food was simple, but good. Same for the accommodation. If you want an enjoyable walking experience focusing a very special environment and don't want or expect, glitzy peripheries, I would strongly recommend Parktrek - we have been on about 5 trips with them so far - so they must be good for us to return! Of course the trip does depend upon fellow participants and on one trip their level of fitness was sub-par, which was a pity, as none of the walks are particularly arduous! Our only downside was the trip back to Launceston which frankly was driven way too fast, despite being ahead of schedule!

  • star rating  Tarkine Wildnerness Highlights. - The Tarkine is a must see destination in Tasmania and travelling with Park Trek took care of all the worries about visiting this remote part of Tasmania. Each days walking was very varied - rainforest, rivers, waterfalls, stunning coastline, boat rides down the Pieman River and ascending to the summit of Mt Donaldson through the beautiful button grass full of bees. Our guides looked after us extremely well and shared their passion for this unique and fragile environment. Don't hesitate to book with Park Trek and visit the Tarkine.
