The Flinders Ranges in all its verdant Glory

“This has been a great experience – nothing was too much trouble for the guides”, Daniel – June, 2026

Context – In late May to early June 2026, Park Trek hosted 10 walkers on a beautiful tour of the Ikara – Flinders Ranges. The region was absolutely stunning and verdant, following the recent rains. Our group comprised walkers from 26 years of age to 86 years of age. It was a fantastic dynamic trhoughout.

The Walks – “I recently returned from the 5-day Ikara – Flinders Ranges walking tour. It was a fantastic 5 days, the scenery at Ikara and Wilpena Pound, and our stops getting there and back were simply amazing!.

The Guides – “Charles, Kurtis and Peter were all very knowledgeable on the area, and very mindful and caring of the guests. Nothing was too much trouble”. “I especially appreciated the help of the guides at times when the walking was a little challenging. It was a great experience for me that I don’t think I could have done without your [the guides] help”.

The Accommodation – The accommodation was clean comfortable and well set up for groups, with a fire each night before a delicious dinner.

The Food & Snacks – The food was healthy, fresh, abundant and tasty.

Overall Experience – “10 out of 10. It was a great experience!”
