An Incredible Bay of Fires Walking Holiday

“I would recommend this walk to anyone wanting to connect with nature, without having to worry about the logistics”, Francoise – April, 2026

🌿The Walks – “The walks each day were just beautiful with white sands, red granite boulders to occasionally clamber over to then walk the next stretch of white sand beach.  The one day of a walk in the forest and along a bay was a good break from the already two days of beach walking.  I liked that the guides swapped the days and on our last day we did a beach walk and immersed ourselves in the beauty of “The Bay of Fires” conservation park.  A lovely way to finish the trip.”

🚶‍♀️‍➡️ The Guides – “Both guides, Andy and Morgan were wonderful.  Great cooks, shared their knowledge to add another level to the trip.  I did enjoy the afternoon tea at the end of the trip and before we boarded the bus to get back to our accommodation.  I liked the pace of the walks and never felt the guides were hurrying us along.  There was time to take in and enjoy the natural environment”.

🏡 The Accommodation – “The accommodation at Icena was great.  I had my own room and en suite which was cosy.  The Tassie woolen blankets caught my eye and I loved snuggling under them.  I even noticed one blanket had beautiful hand darning on it and I was impressed that it was repaired rather than thrown out.  Good one, Icena.”

🍽️ The Food & Snacks – “The food was plentiful, healthy and well cooked and presented.  I appreciated that the guides were able to caterer to my special medical diet, thank you.”

😊 Overall Experience – “10 out of 10. I would recommend this walk to anyone wanting to connect with nature, without having to worry about the logistics – the guides did a wonderful job.  Just get out there and enjoy yourself and know that you are also well looked after.”
