Emma

What do you love most about being in the outdoors?

It’s where I feel most at home. Life is simple. I feel more switched on, aware of and grateful for my environment, my health and the places my body can take me. It enhances my appreciation of all things.

What is your favourite hiking destination in Australia and why?

Tasmania of course! It’s hard to narrow it down. What I love most is the variety of terrain and activities you can enjoy, all within a few hours of each other. Tassie packs a punch! I’ve spent a lot of time walking in the Cradle-Lake St Clair region and I keep going back so that would have to be one of the favourites.

What Park Trek tour is your favourite and why?

The Tarkine. Such an incredible and special place. From the rugged West Coast with its dramatic rock formations and wild seas, to endless rolling hills of buttongrass, to cool quiet rainforests and the black mirror water of the Pieman. There’s something in it for everyone.

What is your favourite hiking destination in Australia and why?

The Blue Mountains slot canyon. They are a such a unique and beautiful environment, in remote locations and require skill, commitment and perseverance to visit.

What Park Trek tour is your favourite and why?

The Bay of Fires as a destination as it is on my back doorstep so I get to experience it daily in all possible conditions, it’s incredible how dynamic it is.

What do you love most about being in the outdoors?

My favorite thing about being outdoors is disconnecting from my phone and daily stressors. It’s always the best to reconnect with the natural world with friends and family.

What is your favourite hiking destination in Australia and why?

The first notable outdoor place I visited in Australia was the Grampians so naturally it has been my favourite as it’s a very nostalgic place. I love the abundance of wild life you see whether in the small towns around or deep in the bush and landscape of the Grampians.

What Park Trek tour is your favourite and why?

I have yet to be on a Park Trek hike but my favorite destination is the Ikara-Flinders Ranges because I’m planning a trip with my partner to South Australia soon. We plan on visiting some of the destinations Park Trek takes our guests on and can’t wait to be able to speak to them personally.
