Growing up in the city, I was fortunate to have parents who loved Australian landscapes and the bush. From the Sapphire Coast to the Snowy Mountains and the Victorian High Country to the Surf Coast, being immersed in nature was an integral part of my life. As an avid hiker, camper and traveller, I’ve always found solace in the wild while balancing these pursuits with professional and other roles.
Throughout my life I have been fortunate to travel extensively throughout Australia, and I feel privileged to have wandered across and enjoyed many landscapes and diverse peoples and cultures across this wonderful country. Our Park Trek tours encapsulate so much of what I love about Australian landscape and touring with kindred spirits who share that love of nature and exploration.
My family shares the same passion for adventure and the great outdoors. I’m a strong believer in the rejuvenating power of nature for both young and old, even if it means embracing a bit of discomfort – after all, some of the best experiences are those that push us out of our comfort zones, like the exhilarating “type 2 fun” moments shaped by unpredictable weather. So, a bit over a year and a half ago I took the leap to buy a business aligned with my interests.
In a world consumed by screens and ‘busyness’, I champion the idea of disconnecting and immersing ourselves in nature. It’s through these moments that we reconnect not only with the natural world but also unite with kindred spirits who share our love for nature and exploration. Whether solo or with friends, walking creates the space for contemplation and self-reflection. It is uplifting and empowering for all of us.
