Day 3 – Gar to Werdug Huts

After a hikers breakfast at Gar, we begin our walk to Werdug Hut. Our walk today is approximately 15 kms and involves a slow saddle descent before gently rising up to Werdug Huts. Throughout we enjoy epic views along the Gariwerd escarpment and towards Lake Wartook. Our lunch and other stops will be at suitably located viewing locations allowing you opportune moments to take in this amazing landscape. We will arrive in Werdug around 4 pm with plenty of time to relax, chat and enjoy the stunning views. Once again, your guides will prepare an enjoyable and nourishing dinner, and we stay the evening in the huts.

Day 4 – Werdug to Halls Gap, then Melbourne

After two fairly epic days of walking, today we enjoy a more gentle but nonetheless spectacular descent into Halls Gap. Our walk is interspersed with spectacular views of the surrounding country, and we traverse through changing vegetations and micro-climates. It is a beautiful walk and having set off early we aim to be in Halls Gap by around 1pm. To conclude our experience, we enjoy a relaxing celebratory lunch and drink with our walking friends at a local Halls Gap hospitality provider. We aim to be back in Melbourne by around 4:30pm at which point we say goodbye with lifetime memories of an epic experience.
