This tour is the ‘little brother’ of our 9-day packhorse hike, but similarly spectacular. Enjoy five days in the High Country, including three days of hiking in the Victorian Alps exploring remote and untouched areas walking with just a light day pack.
This is the only tour of its kind where you can hike the Falls to Hotham Alpine Crossing without a full pack. Our horse friends do all of the heavy lifting.

Hike with experienced and knowledgeable Park Trek guides who will follow the tracks of your packhorse team across the High Country into bush camps set up by the Bogong Horse team.
The tour takes you to Heathy Spur, Wallace’s, Pretty Valley, Mount Jim, The Jitmathangs, and Mount Feathertop, along with some of the oldest Cattlemen’s huts in the High Country.
Our packhorse team carry all sleeping gear, food and clothing through the Alpine environment, allowing you to walk with the comfort of a daypack over this three-day journey. You simply walk into camps that are fully prepared on arrival.
This unique tour is catered with food using some of the region’s best local produce. As an added extra, a cold beer and local wine is provided on arrival into camp each afternoon.
