Our 2020 Kimberley season dates and itineraries have just been released – and it’s going to be amazing!
We’re always excited about the Kimberley. The rugged landscapes, dramatic gorges and pristine waterholes make the remote Kimberley region one of Australia’s most spectacular destinations.
But there are three very special reasons why we’re super-excited about the 2020 Kimberley season launching next May.
1. Our new Kimberley walking tour itinerary
We’ve gone back to the drawing board and refined our itinerary to ensure it offers a complete Kimberley experience. Our trips start and end in Kununurra and journey along the famous Gibb River Road, taking you to the region’s highlights. We’ll explore the incredible Purnululu National Park on foot – with an option for a scenic helicopter flight above the Bungle Bungle Range. We’ll walk through spectacular Windjana Gorge and take the dark cave walk along Tunnel Creek.
We’ll have a swim at Dolerite Gorge, enjoy a devonshire tea at Ellenbrae Station, spot crocs at Bindoola Falls, soak in the warm pools of Zebedee Springs, stay on the famous El Questro station and rock-hop our way to Amelia Gorge. The walking is incredible – you’ll squeeze through narrow chasms, clamber down rock slabs and climb to high escarpments. 2. Our new tour options – would you prefer to sleep in a swag or a bed?
We’re very excited to launch an all-new camping tour option in the Kimberley and next year we’ll run an accommodated version as well.
The two separate Kimberley tours following the same walking itinerary – but depending on your budget you can choose to sleep under the stars in a comfortable swag or in a bed on the accommodated tour.
On the camping tour, you’ll be provided with a comfortable swag. You’ll be sleeping under the stars in some of the best locations in the Kimberley. We’ll use the amenities on hand at the various camping locations.
On our accommodated tour, you’ll stay in a range of comfortable accomodation options including ‘glamping’ in ensuite safari tents. Each night you’ll sleep in a real bed in a twin share or double room or safari tent.
So you can choose – swag or bed, they’re both fabulous options.
3. Our shiny new vehicle
We’ve been shopping. We’ve got a custom-made 12-seater coach put on the chassis of a super-tough 4WD truck. It’s a tough unit. It’ll get us through those rugged river crossings, along the rutted roads and down the steep and loose access tracks so, all going to plan, we wont miss a beat in the Kimberley.
