Take on the 105-kilometre challenge of the complete Great Ocean Walk
The Great Ocean Walk is a trail that traverses Victoria’s spectacular southern coastline. It winds along clifftops, drops on to sandy beaches and wanders through rainforest. The full end-to-end trail is 105 kilometres – it’s a solid physical challenge wrapped up in spectacular scenery.

The walk heads off from the pretty township of Apollo Bay. You’ll head along the coast, past secluded beaches, before ducking into the Otway Rainforest. Here, you’ll walk under towering Mountain Ash, keeping your eyes open for echidna, wallaby and the colourful local birdlife.
Further along the trail, wild and remote Johanna Beach is a highlight. Often, we have the beach to ourselves – it’s a place where we can stop and appreciate the relentless power of nature as the waves come crashing to the shore. The next day’s trail to Moonlight Head is perhaps the most spectacular section, offering panoramic views of rolling hills, coastline and the vast ocean beyond.
The final destination is one of Australia’s most iconic natural sights – the Twelve Apostles. These towering islands jutting out of the water are quite simply breathtaking, no matter how many times you may have seen them.
