Trek for Orangutans 2026 – Great Ocean Walk

Join us for an unforgettable orangutan-packed adventure with Lou Grossfeldt, an orangutan expert, primatologist, and renowned author from Borneo Orangutan Survival Australia. Together we’ll walk the iconic Great Ocean Walk from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles to raise funds and awareness for orangutan conservation and habitat restoration in Borneo.

Experience four glorious days of dramatic coastal scenery — towering cliffs, secluded beaches, coastal forests and abundant wildlife — while travelling with a small group of like-minded people and expert local guides. Over the trek, you’ll cover approximately 40–43 km, walking with only a day pack and arriving each afternoon to comfortable accommodation immersed in the landscape. Evenings are spent enjoying freshly prepared meals made with local, seasonal produce, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the company of your fellow trekkers.

By joining this fundraising adventure you’ll be supporting rescue, care and rehabilitation efforts for orangutans, and contributing to habitat restoration projects that give these critically endangered animals a safer future.
