Unlike traditional charity trek businesses, we have eliminated intermediary fees and charges since you partner directly with Park Trek.

We have three charity trek models for you to choose from:

  1. Summit Seeker – Our participant led option.
  2. Trail Support – Our low cost Charity led option.
  3. Expedition Partner – Our full support Charity led option.

Why choose Park Trek?

You choose the model that best suits your needs, or the needs of the charity concerned. No one size fits all!

  • Summit Seeker – Our independent participant led option. Basically a private group where you choose the charity, form the group, and let us take care of the tour logistics, safety, guiding and other details.
  • Trail Support – Our low cost Charity led option. The charity handles lead management and fundraising support, while we take care of all tour logistics, safety, guiding and other details. We also provide tools and support on best practice fundraising to ensure campaign success.
  • Expedition Partner – Our full support Charity led option. We provide end-to-end campaign management and fundraising support as well as taking care of all tour logistics, safety, guiding and other details. We also provide tools and support on best practice fundraising to ensure campaign success.

By partnering directly with Park Trek, you eliminate the added fees and commissions that traditional charity trekking intermediaries charge. This means reduced costs for your participants and more of the funds raised go directly to your cause, maximising the impact of every dollar donated!

Working directly with us allows for clearer, more streamlined communication. You’ll have direct access to our experienced team, ensuring that your specific needs and the unique goals of your event are fully understood and integrated into the experience! No mixed messages, nothing lost in translation!

As the provider, we have the flexibility to customise your event to align with your charity’s values, mission, and audience. We can personalise our itineraries, accommodating your preferences for location, difficulty, and any special activities or themes that reflect your cause!

Park Trek specialises in delivering high-quality, safe, and engaging multi-day walks. We have direct control over every aspect of the experience—from the safety measures to the accommodation and meals. This ensures a consistently high standard throughout your event!

As the tour operator, we have intimate knowledge of the locations we guide, offering a richer and more authentic experience. Our deep connection to the landscapes we explore allows us to provide participants with insights and stories that add depth to the journey!

By partnering directly with Park Trek, you’re working with our owner, Charles Thompson, who has real world experience leading charity boards and who understands the vital nature of fundraising and advocacy activities. You’ll be working directly with the people invested in the success of your event.

Frequently Asked Questions

A charity challenge is a purpose-driven fundraising event that combines physical adventure with meaningful impact. Participants sign-up to a carefully planned fundraising adventure in one of Park Trek’s iconic or inspiring locations, where they commit to raise funds for your charity while embarking on a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. These challenges not only motivate supporters to achieve personal goals but also deepens their connection to the charity, amplifying awareness and generating substantial fundraising outcomes

An organised multi-day trek is the perfect fundraising opportunity for a number of reasons, including:

  1. Engaging and Memorable Experience: A walking event offers a fully immersive experience, creating lasting memories and stronger bonds with your cause. The journey itself becomes part of the story that donors and participants share, increasing awareness and support for your mission.
  2. Active Participation: Unlike traditional fundraising events, a walking event encourages active engagement. Participants take part in a fulfilling physical activity, which not only promotes health and well-being but also offers a meaningful way to contribute to the cause.
  3. Unique Locations and Natural Beauty: Our walking experiences take place in stunning natural settings, providing an opportunity to explore national parks and scenic trails. This unique backdrop is a powerful motivator for donors, creating a sense of adventure and exclusivity around the event.
  4. Connection and Community Building: Walking together fosters deep connections among participants. This shared experience can strengthen relationships between your supporters, donors, and your organisation, potentially leading to long-term contributions and partnerships.

Depending on the charity trek model you choose, our fees (in addition to the trek cost) are as low as $300 for our base charity trek model. If you choose to engage us to handle end to end campaign management and fundraising then our fees for those services are transparently priced and significantly less than most intermediary charity trek providers. In regards the trek cost, when you assemble a group of 10 or more you’ll generally get 1 participant free of charge (i.e. a 10% saving).

Any money raised for a charity is a great outcome. However, the fundraising target is really up to you. On many of our walks participants generally aim to raise upwards of $2,000. On some walks we have had groups of 10 walkers raise in excess of $50,000 for their nominated charity. We will help you set realistic goals and give you some tips and advice.

You have the team, supporters, followers, and expertise on fundraising. We have experience with carrying out inspiring, safe, and thoughtfully organised multi-day walks. When we meld these things together, your supporters will be set up for success to reach their fundraising goal and have an unforgettable and rewarding walking experience while supporting your cause.
